Band 5|Modest user| * Partial command of the language, coping with overall meaning in most situations, though is likely to make many mistakes. * Should be able to handle basic communication in their own field. Band 4|Limited user| * Basic competence is limited to familiar situations. * Has frequent problems in understanding and expression. Is not able to use complex language. Band 3|Extremely limited user| * Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations. * Frequent breakdowns in communication occur. Band score 5 – Modest user | The test takers have a partial command of thelanguage but cope with overall meaning in most of all situations. They canhandle communication in their own field. Band score 4 – Limited user | The test taker’s basic competence is limited tosome situations only. The candidates have problems in understanding andexpression and are not able to use complex language. Band score 3 – Extremely limited user | The candidates are able to understandthe only general meaning in very familiar situations. There are manybreakdowns in communication. Band score 2 – Intermittent user | The test taker has great difficulty inunderstanding written and spoken English. Individual test scores

WHAT IS AN IELTS TEST REPORT FORM?


IELTS Test report form (TRF) is a paper- a copy of the result of the IELTSexam. Students receive the result after 13 days of the exam. Test takers cancollect the result themselves from the test centers or can receive it viapost. The result will not be disclosed on the phone or by mail. There is nominimum marking criteria in the examination. Candidates are evaluated on ascale of 1- 9.
